Perhaps you're like us. You've subscribed to Netflix, you have the ability to instantly stream all kinds of movies and TV shows but you want to be careful about what you watch. You may have children and you're discerning about what they see and hear. Sure, you've put in your preferences into the Netflix website, but still they often suggest inappropriate movies or simply miss the mark of what you're really looking for. Here at Family Friendly Netflix it is our mission to recommend to you wholesome, enjoyable entertainment available on Netflix. Primarily we will be recommending instantly stream-able movies or TV shows that meet this criteria. Some of our "All Time Favorites" (see page below) however, are only available on DVD.

By the way, our children are 14 and 17 years old now. If you have very small children some of these picks may not be your first choice.

A Classic TV Series Worth Watching

Emergency! (1-hour, TV Show, NR, 1972)
This was a favorite in my household growing up.  My dad was a physician and he would watch this show with us as small kids.  With each emergency call of the paramedics we would be guessing with dad on what the diagnosis was going to be.  There is much to like about this series.  The characters are genuine and provide truly heroic models especially for young boys.  Mixed with the intense life-and-death situations is normally a light-sided humorous backdrop as the firefighters and paramedics pull practical jokes on each other.  I think your family will really enjoy this one!
