A Man Called Peter (NR 1955)
This week our family enjoyed watching this biography of Peter Marshall. Marshall, originally from Scotland, was a powerful preacher who ministered in the heart of America's capital city, Washington DC. His bold, tell-it-to-you-straight approach ruffled some feathers of the establishment, but his message resonated as truth to most. Sit back and enjoy this steam-able movie from Netflix.
Mission: Impossible (TV, 1966-72)
Occasionally we'll highlight a TV show that we've enjoyed watching. Generally we prefer the older show since most of the new ones only know one line of humor - degraded sex. Mission Impossible are one-hour suspense stories where the lead character works for the CIA as an undercover spy who is given "impossible" missions that no one else could solve. He recruits help from a number of supporting spies each with special talents or expertise. The team together use their ingenuity and coolness under pressure to bring down international thugs. Enjoy!
Perhaps you're like us. You've subscribed to Netflix, you have the ability to instantly stream all kinds of movies and TV shows but you want to be careful about what you watch. You may have children and you're discerning about what they see and hear. Sure, you've put in your preferences into the Netflix website, but still they often suggest inappropriate movies or simply miss the mark of what you're really looking for. Here at Family Friendly Netflix it is our mission to recommend to you wholesome, enjoyable entertainment available on Netflix. Primarily we will be recommending instantly stream-able movies or TV shows that meet this criteria. Some of our "All Time Favorites" (see page below) however, are only available on DVD.
If that sounds like you, then get yourself some pizza and coke and gather the family together for an enjoyable and safe movie night using the following suggestions. By the way, our children are 14 and 17 years old now. If you have very small children some of these picks may not be your first choice.
